- When You need a taxi, You could call a taxi. Because sometimes when You stop a taxi in the street, taxi driver ask you "where do You go?" and when You answer the question, He says: "I don't go there". It's more secure, too.

-You should buy a Insect repellent and sunblock. 

- If you are in Barranquilla and it's rain, you should stay in a safe place, because the streets becomes dangerous.

A last recommendation:

You NEVER should wear sandal with socks. Fist of all, It doesn't look good. Secondly, It's like If you put a big poster in your forehead and that says: "Look at me, I'm tourist". We think that You should not call attention.
